Get Your Gamer Geek On This Weekend at FORGE

It's a good weekend to be a geek. Not only was yesterday Star Wars Day, Geek Pride Day, and Towel Day, but the first annual FORGE Gaming Convention is being held this weekend at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Lexington, Kentucky. Gaming stores Amazing Wonders and Cosmic Oasis among other local vendors will be set up hosting games. Whether you are a total n00b or seasoned gamer, FORGE is celebrating all things gaming. D&D, Pathfinder, and Savage Worlds will be just three of the platforms that you'll be able to play, but there will also be Collectible Card Games, Board Games, and a whole host of events at Forge. Deadly Sins Burlesque, Tinder Box Circus Sideshow, and Drunk & Sailor will be performing as well. On the whole, it's going to be an absolutely fantastic event. One day has already past and the fun continues through Sunday evening at 4 PM.

The vendor hall will be FREE to the public! The ‘Bazaaro Vendor Hall’ will open 12pm to 8pm on Friday, 10am to 8pm on Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Registered and open gaming will be available for badgeholders from 12pm Friday to 5pm Sunday. If you are interested in trying a new game, jump in one of the open games that will be held! It's a great way to see what you might like.

I'm very sad that I was not able to have a table at Forge in its inaugural year, but I will most certainly be roaming the exhibitor halls and talking to people for awhile. I'll also be passing out KGG postcards so see me for a chance to win $10 to Drive-Thru RPG!

Come down to Forge and see my friends from Beaucoup Pop! Listen to their interview with Forge Con staffers here. Justin and Tressa will also be selling their amazing artwork at the convention as well. I hear Justin is drawing Cthulhu! Authors Nic Brown, Fiona Young-Brown, and Bertena Varney will be there too!
