This week certainly has been a busy one. As I prepare to move, I've been packing like a mad woman, cleaning, and trying not to freak out. So, I'm very happy that I found some things this week that brought me joy and a bit of an escape from the stress of moving. Speaking of bringing joy, Leila and I recorded a nre episode of The Eclectic Geek Podcast this week and we had a lot of fun with it, so be sure to have a listen.

We all know that Katniss is a mean shot, but this pop culture mash-up takes it one step further. From Indiana Jones, to the Red Wedding party, and pretty much everyone in between, no one is safe from Katniss and her bow.



Texts from TNG
Okay, this is freaking hilarious. Y'all know I love me some Star Trek: The Next Generation and I think Texts from Last Night posts are amazing. This puts them both together seamlessly. I've seen Texts from the TARDIS and Superhero texts, but this is by far the best one on the Internet. The whole internet. Tip of the hat to Wil Wheaton for sharing this. You can find more like the image below at the Texts from The Next Generation Tumblr. I chose this one because Q gives me a hearty chuckle.

Tom Hiddleston Sings and Juggles
I have yet to find something that Tom Hiddleston is bad at. He honestly seems to excel at everything. He's an exceptional dancer, he's charming, he's basically a Disney Prince; this guy can do no wrong. He recently appeared on a German lifestyle program Taff where he rode around with someone in a car for the interview. Hiddles has been quite the jet-setter and has done quite a bit of press for Thor: The Dark World (which is called Thor: The Dark Kingdom in Germany apparently). In these two clips he sings Stand by Me and juggles. He even speaks a little Deutsche.



Alfonso Cuarón's "IKEA" - Official Trailer
I saw Gravity in IMAX 3D last month and was absolutely blown away. I'm totally convinced that it was filmed in space. Seriously. In this video from Daniel Hubbard, we see what a movie about IKEA would be like if it was made by Alfonso Cuaron. It perfectly captures the feeling of Gravity while parodying the ridculous size of IKEA stores.


Machichae Supremacy - All of My Angels
Swedish band Machinae Supremacy has just released the official video for their new song All of My Angels. With lyrics like "Wake me if I turn to stone" the song definitely has a Weeping Angel vibe to it, and that's exactly how they themed their video. I'd not listened to the band before they popped up in my Facebook newsfeed as a sponsored post, actually, but I'm quite glad they did. I dig their sound and I love that they paid tribute to their favorite Doctor Who villains in time for the 50th Anniversary.
