Kentucky For Kentucky has set up a Kickstarter project with a lofty goal: to broadcast a Superbowl commercial highlighting the kick a$$ contributions of Kentucky. The $3.5 million dollar project would allow the ad to air on the 2012 Superbowl and has a deadline of November 7. Even if you're not from Kentucky, please consider a donation to this very cool project. It's time people stop talking smack about the great Commonwealth of Kentucky! The Facebook group and Kickstarter project is the collective brainchild of Whit Hiler, Griffin VanMeter, and Kent Carmichael, all members of the Kentucky advertising industry and lovers of the Bluegrass state. They want to user the Superbowl to show how awesome Kentucky is and we definitely commend them for their efforts.
"Our motive is Kentucky. We're all from Kentucky, we all love Kentucky," said Hiler. "We want to ignite Kentucky pride around the country. Have some fun and shed light on how kick-ass the great state of Kentucky is."
