Get your game on this Saturday!

Whether you're new to gaming or a seasoned veteran, Free RPG Day is a great way to reconnect with your favorite games and learn a few new. Inspired by Free Comic Book Day, Free RPG Day was first organized in 2007 and connects Your Friendly Local Game Shop to game developers and publishers in an effort to spread the word about the awesomeness that is role playing games. Having gamers interact with new products also helps drive sales since more than likely you'll be purchasing the new game that you've just been hooked on.


Business aside, I'm really looking forward to Free RPG Day. There are some great titles available for play at The Rusty Scabbard and Amazing Wonders Gaming and Hobby Center and when you're done testing it out, you can take it home! Familiar publishers such as White Wolf, Paizo and Wizards of the Coast have provided quick starts and one shot campaigns. A quick start of Dragon Age, which was our first RPG Spotlight, will be available as well. No matter what game shop you go to on Free RPG Day, get there early for your pick of titles. Amazing Wonders will be open all day bringing you the finest in role playing games.
